Ever since my earliest childhood, I have loved nature; I am particularly fascinated by primeval forests. This has, of course, influenced my career choice, and I now work full-time in nature conservation, advocating for the preservation of wilderness biodiversity in various ecosystems around the world. I first learned about Wilderness International through my work as a nature tour guide for Diamir Erlebnisreisen, a partner of the foundation. I was immediately so impressed by Wilderness International’s hands-on approach to wilderness conservation—as well as the team behind it—that I was determined to become part of this project to protect threatened and spectacular primeval forests.
