In nature, everything is connected

Both global and local action is crucial for effective nature conservation. At Wilderness International, we see great added value in partnerships with regional conservation and environmental education organizations. Who could be a better fit than Wohlleben Forest Academy? Our collaboration shows that in times like these, it is important to use synergies and join forces. "It's not about who has the better project, but about how we can achieve the greatest possible impact for nature together," emphasizes Kai Andersch. The collaboration between Wilderness International and Wohllebens Waldakademie includes joint social media posts on environmental education, YouTube videos and our 2021 nature conservation advent calendar.

About Wohlleben Forest Academy

Wohlleben's Forest Academy inspires thousands of people every year about the forest ecosystem: whether through on-site seminars and experience events, YouTube videos, Instagram posts, the podcast "Peter and the Forest" or through its online courses. The core mission of the Forest Academy is to strengthen forest conservation in Germany. This is achieved on the one hand through educational work, but also through the forest conservation project, the UrwaldProjekt. In addition to this project and their educational work, Wohllebens also advise companies that want to integrate the topic of forest and nature conservation into their day-to-day business.

With our old-growth forest, we are protecting old deciduous forests that are worth preserving for the next 50 years. Unfortunately, there are no more old-growth forest in Germany - we want to change this with the project and, with a lot of patience, create old-growth forest again. How do we do that? Simply do nothing and let the forest do its thing.
