Breeze Technologies is a young technology company that uses innovative sensors to optimize air quality measurement. Based on real-time sensor data, environmental cloud intelligence and subject matter expertise, Breeze enables monitoring on buildings, urban and rural areas, as well as industrial immissions.
The Hamburg-based startup was created in 2015 as part of a European innovation program for smart cities and was named one of the most promising startups in the EU by the European Parliament.
In our Peruvian protected areas, we have been testing the world's first air quality-based fire alarm system in a pilot project since 2023. Thanks to the smart algorithms developed by Breeze, fires can not only be detected but also differentiated. In just a few minutes and within a radius of up to 60 km, we can thus track down illegal activities. Since speed makes all the difference when in doubt for the protection of wilderness areas, this technology helps in effective action. The pilot project was funded with 20,000 euros from Polygon Germany, as well as a rebate and an additional sensor from Breeze.
