Treasure(s) for the rainforest

Update from 30.06.2024

The time had finally come at the weekend: TV star and antiques expert Fabian Kahl, who already accompanied us on our Peru expedition in March, visited us for our big appraisal event in Dresden! Together with his "Bares für Rares" colleagues Julian Schmitz-Avila, Christian Vechtel and his brother Tobias Kahl, Fabian examined the items brought along by more than 250 visitors and discovered many a treasure.

The press also visited us to talk to Fabian about his commitment and the importance of wilderness protection. There are reports from the Sächsische Zeitung, Dresdner Morgenpost, DNN and Sachsen Fernsehen

Fabian Kahl, the well-known antiques expert and TV star (ZDF, "Bares für Rares") is coming to the Elbhangfest in Dresden on June 29 and 30 and, together with his brother Tobias Kahl as well as Julian Schmitz-Avila and Christian Vechtel, is inviting visitors to two special treasure days.

Fabian and his fiancée Yvonne recently visited our protected areas in Peru, saw our work for themselves and experienced the beauty of the rainforest up close. Since then, the two have been working as ambassadors for Wilderness International and regularly draw attention to the relevance of nature conservation on Fabian's social media channels. Together with their fans, Fabian and Yvonne also protect their "own" piece of forest - the Fabian Kahl Community Forest in the Secret Forest in Peru.

As part of the Elbhang Festival, interested parties can have their antiques valued by Fabian and his fellow dealers under the motto "Treasure(s) for the rainforest" and do something good for nature at the same time. The experts will professionally inspect the items brought along, estimate their value, give advice and even buy them directly if necessary. Of course, you can decide for yourself whether you would like to sell your items directly on site!

We would be delighted to receive a voluntary donation of €5 from all visitors who take an estimate. 100% of the proceeds from these donations will go towards protecting the rainforest. Any waiting times can be bridged with drinks and conversations with our team.

We look forward to welcoming many visitors!
