The 01099 rainforest is located in the Madre de Dios region in Peru. There are 10x more reptiles and amphibians than in Germany, about 10% of all bird species in the world can be observed here and on one hectare of forest you can find about 400 tree species, more than in all of Europe north of the Alps.

Here you can see the protected forest area of 01099 Family online on the world map.
The 01099 forest is part of our "Secret Forest" rainforest conservation area in Peru, which covers a total of almost 500 hectares. In this way, we are jointly preserving a large, contiguous habitat.
Why this is important
Worldwide, only 2.8% of the land surface consists of intact ecosystems. We want to save them together with you as long as possible!
Because intact forests fulfill vital functions and have many benefits for us: clean air, clear water, stable rain, cool climate, habitat for biodiversity, space for adventure and recreation, and so much more.
Zachi and Paul had to see it with their own eyes: The rainforest is severely threatened.
