"WONACH WIR SUCHEN" Community Rainforest

Wilderness International

Join us in protecting the most biodiverse rainforest on earth

The fight against climate change is a matter close to the heart of the band WONACH WIR SUCHEN, which has been the subject of their song lyrics, music videos and artistic actions for years. Now they are working together with the Wilderness International Foundation on a mission to protect the last rainforests on our planet. The "WONACH WE SEEK" community forest is located on Porcher Island in British Columbia, Canada. Its preservation also protects the habitat for a huge variety of species and enables a healthy climate.

Personal, political and with a clear edge

In over ten years, WONACH WIR SUCHEN has grown from a singer-songwriter duo into a four-piece band that occupies a field of its own somewhere between indie, punk and street pop. Danceable music meets authentic German lyrics. At their concerts, they dispense with the well-known animation games and sing-along choruses and instead sweep the audience away with their full stage presence.

They take a clear stance against all forms of exclusion, racism, homophobia and sexism and stand for fast, sustainable climate protection on stage and in life.

Sometimes deeply personal, sometimes highly political, but never arbitrary - the Leipzigers can find their place on any stage.

Every contribution counts!

At Wilderness International, we have a big, shared vision: to protect the world's last true wilderness areas forever!

  • Lasting impact: your one-time donation guarantees the permanent protection of the area

Thanks to the geo-coordinates, you know exactly which piece of forest we are protecting with your donation.

Why this is important

Worldwide, only 2.8% of the land surface consists of intact ecosystems. We want to save them together with you as long as possible!

Because intact forests fulfill vital functions and have many benefits for us: clean air, clear water, stable rain, cool climate, habitat for biodiversity, space for adventure and recreation, and so much more.
