I grew up in chaotic Lima and spent my childhood discovering the hidden natural world amid all the concrete—chasing ants, watching snails, and chasing ladybugs.

Unsurprisingly, this curiosity later became my calling. In 2020, when I caught a glimpse from the airplane of the endless greenery of the Madre de Dios region in the heart of the rainforest, I fell in love with the Amazon. Today, as an environmental educator in the jungle, I enjoy combining that childlike sense of wonder with my work, and I continue to observe and admire these fascinating creatures.

My mission is to highlight the diversity of insects and their crucial role in maintaining the balance of our planet. By bridging the gap between science and the community, I want to illustrate the value of the life around us and inspire people to protect the forest. For me, there’s nothing more beautiful than seeing a sparkle of wonder in someone’s eyes when they experience the magic of an insect for the first time.
