I’m from the Ayacucho-Huamanga region, in the heart of the Andes. Over the course of my time with Wilderness International, I’ve come to understand more and more what our work is all about. I protect the flora and fauna that surround us, the animals that must not be hunted, and the huge, ancient trees, so that they are not cut down. I enjoy working in the heart of the rainforest because it sustains our lives and provides oxygen for us and all other living creatures. I love being out in the field with the other forest rangers in our protected areas and love watching the birds we see every day. And I’m grateful for my job at Wilderness International.
