Rooted in Skincare
Support forest protection in Canada with Caudalie.

At Caudalie, we believe that a commitment to clean beauty goes beyond the everyday use of natural-origin ingredients in our products.
With naturalness rooted in our skincare DNA, we extend our commitments to support ecological associations that work to preserve, protect, and sustain forestation, giving back to nature a little of what it gives us every day.
This Earth Day, we are reinforcing our pledge to protect the planet by taking action to support a greener Canada. In partnership with WildernessInternational, Caudalie is pleased to announce that we are donating for the protection of more than 300,000 m2 of protected primary forest in Northwest British Columbia to preserve its biodiversity.
Together, Caudalie and Wilderness International invite you to support the protection of Canadian ancient forests - one square meter at a time. With a minimum donation of $1.5 CAD, you can protect 1 square meter of Canadian forest and receive a personalized certificate with the geo-coordinates of the area.

Since 2012, convinced that we must preserve the natural resources we use in our products, we joined the 1% for the Planet collective and dedicated 1% of our annual revenue to environmental protection and restoration. In 2024, we chose to collaborate with Wilderness International, an organization that buys land to protect carbon sink ecosystems in perpetuity. We understand that combating climate change cannot be limited to reducing greenhouse gas emissions alone. It's also essential to preserve and restore natural carbon sinks that absorb CO₂, as Wilderness International does. Our partnership with Wilderness International is a concrete example of our long-term commitment to environmental protection.

What you protect with your donation:

A rare coastal wolf on beach patrol.

Among seaweed and kelp, a playful mink pursues its favorite food, abalone.

A humpback whale, a species that was almost wiped out by industrial whaling, swims in the waters next to our protected areas.

Nestled in soft layers of ancient sphagnum moss grows rare long-leaved sundew, its nectar drops glistening in a rare sunbeam. In the silence of the bog, it lures flies into its trap with its sticky tentacles.
Give back to the earth a little of what it gives us every day. We believe in responsible beauty that respects the planet and the people who inhabit it.

About Wilderness International
It all began with an enthusiasm for forests with huge trees - today, Wilderness International consists of three sister foundations: one in Peru, Canada and Germany. With one big goal: to protect the last unique forest and wilderness areas of the world forever.
To achieve this, we purchase wilderness areas, legally secure with an entry in the land registry, and protect them for the future.
The purchases are refinanced through donations. These also ensure the long-term protection of the areas. They also enable environmental education projects and research into CO2 storage and biodiversity.

We are a committed and flexible organization - always striving to use our resources as effectively as possible.
Sounds good, doesn't it?
In Canada, good legal security helps us, as well as the legal situations and sanctions that even prohibit trespassing.
In Peru, we have additionally started a forest guardian program with local people. To ensure long-term protection, we also have several other measures in place. In general, we visit the areas on regular expeditions to check on them. We also work with local partners who inform us of any irregularities if necessary. The donations per square meter also already include the costs for property taxes.
Like no other, the legal form of the foundation allows a (charitable) purpose to be realized permanently and independently of outside interests, thus achieving the desired effects in the long term. It is thus the most long-term organizational construct currently known. Not even states, companies or national parks are designed for such a long term. This makes the foundation the only one that is oriented toward the lifespan of the ecosystems we protect.
There are no further obligations for you. The donation is one-time, and enables us as a foundation to ensure the long-term protection of the area. The sponsorship is a symbolic one. The forest area remains the property of the Foundation.
You will receive the certificate digitally as a PDF by email. So you can decide for yourself whether you want to print it out and in which size.
You as the donor will receive the donation receipt. We will send all information and files to you.
