- 5 square meters of rainforest are protected per bottle of Riesling "50 degrees North"

Whether Rieslings, bottle-fermented sparkling wines or barrel-aging of red wines - the drive of the Fleischer winery has always been to improve traditional methods and create something new.
Since 1994, the Fleischer family has leased the winery from the city of Mainz.
The winery of the city of Mainz is committed to the protection of temperate rainforest in Western Canada with the wine "50 degrees North". This is a Riesling from the Bodenheimer Ebersberg vineyard in Hechtsheim. The vineyards in Germany and the rainforest areas in Canada protected with the purchase of this bottle are both located on the 50th parallel. The wine is therefore called "50 Degrees North," and on the label, vine leaf meets maple leaf, because leaf helps leaf: "With each bottle of Riesling, five square meters of grizzly land in the Toba Valley in Canada are protected. It is the first certified organic wine at the Fleischer winery. What unites both sides is to stop the overexploitation of valuable nature, to preserve pristine areas for our children," writes the information platform "Mainz&".
