Fauna Forever's research station "Secret Forest" is located in the immediate vicinity of our protected areas along the Tambopata River. Thanks to its numerous long-term research projects in the region, Fauna Forever has its finger on the pulse of the forest we are protecting. As part of our collaboration, we, and now you, always have access to the latest research findings from the region. At the same time, we support the work of FF, for example with data from our drone flights (including aerial images, LIDAR and multispectral images). Through Fauna Forever, interested people finally have the opportunity to get to know the forests that we protect along the Tambopata as part of a scientific internship.

In addition, the designated research station serves as a base for our forest guardian program. As Fauna Forever and its volunteers are permanently on site, they also support our forest guardians by their presence and regular inspections of our protected areas.

Fauna Forever is a Peruvian NGO with the aim of contributing to a society based on nature conservation and sustainable thinking in order to maintain a healthy planet for all. To this end, it conducts long-term research in the Peruvian tropical forests and in the cloud forests of the Andes. A particular focus is on monitoring animal populations and the effects of human influence in the region. Based on the research findings, the organization develops concepts for the long-term protection of the forests and their fauna, such as recommendations for ecotourism.
To date, around 1,500 volunteers, interns and students have been able to contribute to this research, pursue their own projects and see the tropical forests with their own eyes. Fauna Forever also works closely with local communities.
