How can you win?

Participation in the competition takes place by commenting on one of the seven posts by Wilderness International and any collaboration partners on our Instagram page and/or Facebook page, in which the competition is announced in a pinned comment. In the comment, depending on the post, you must either guess how much forest the Mission Earth community will protect in the Mission Earth Forest in Canada by the date specified, or how many people will participate in forest protection in the Mission Earth Forest in Canada by making a donation.

Over what period will the competition take place?

The entire competition begins with the first post on 14.12.23 and ends on 15.02.24. The exact participation period for each post can be found in the respective posts. 

Who can take part?

Participation is free of charge and open to any person who is at least 16 years old.

Who is excluded from participation?

The organizer is entitled to exclude individual persons from participation if there are justified reasons, such as violation of these conditions of participation, manipulation, etc., and reserves the right to take legal action. Sweepstakes clubs and automated sweepstakes services are not eligible to participate.

What can I win?
- One main prize per post: 6x participation in the "Forest hike with all senses" course at the Wohllebens Forest Academy
- per post for 2nd and 3rd place: a high-quality item of outdoor equipment from our partners, e.g. a rucksack, wash bag or water bottle

How are the winners determined?

The winner:in of the main prize is the person whose guessed number among all comments of a post is closest to the actual number (protected square meters in the Mission Earth Forest in Canada on the respective date or number of individual donations for Mission Earth Forest in Canada on the respective date). If several people guess the same number, the winner will be chosen at random from these people. In addition, a prize will also be drawn for second and third place for the next two numbers. 

When will the winners be determined?
The winner will be determined and notified by February 15, 2024 at the latest.

How do I find out if I have won?

The winner will be notified by direct message via instagram.

How do I receive my winnings?

With the prize notification, the winner will be asked to provide the organizer with his/her correct name, address and date of birth. The participant is responsible for the accuracy of the contact details provided. Whether the prizes are sent by post / email or whether they have to be collected from one of our branches will be clarified individually with the winner.

What happens if I do not contact you after I have been notified of my winnings?

If a winner does not contact the organizer within 14 working days of being notified of the prize, the prize will be forfeited. The same applies in the event that a winner provides incorrect contact details and it is therefore not possible to send or hand over the prize.

Reservation clause

The organizer reserves the right to modify, interrupt or terminate the competition at any time without prior notice and without giving reasons. However, this option will only be exercised if, for reasons of force majeure, for technical reasons (e.g. viruses in the computer system, manipulation or errors in the hardware and/or software) or for legal reasons, the proper execution of the game cannot be guaranteed. The organizer is not liable for losses, cancellations or delays caused by circumstances beyond its control.

Data protection regulations

The organizer stores and uses the data collected exclusively for the purpose of running the competition. All data will be deleted after the competition has ended. Data protection

Miscellaneous
Prize claims cannot be transferred or assigned to other persons. Legal recourse is excluded. Should individual provisions of the conditions of participation be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining conditions of participation. They shall be replaced by an appropriate provision that comes closest to the purpose of the invalid provision. The organizer reserves the right to change the conditions of participation at any time.
