Kienbaum is committed to protecting endangered biodiversity

Since 2026, Kienbaum has been working alongside Wilderness International on a mission to preserve the world’s last remaining primeval forests through concrete wilderness conservation efforts. In the Kienbaum Corporate Forest—located in the heart of Peru’s tropical rainforest—countless animals and plants now have a safe home, while the forest sequesters thousands of tons of CO₂ in biomass, thereby helping to stabilize the global climate.

Karl & Leander

Managing Director of otinga GmbH

Founded in 1945, Kienbaum is Germany’s first consulting firm and the only human resources and management consulting firm of European origin. For 80 years, Kienbaum has viewed a respectful, appreciative, and results-oriented approach to leadership as a key driver of success for the organizations of the future. Since 2026, the consulting firm has also demonstrated its forward-thinking approach by effectively protecting unique wilderness areas in Peru for future generations.

Every contribution counts

What impressed Kienbaum most about Wilderness International was the transparent and concrete use of donations: a €1 donation protects 1 square meter of old-growth forest forever. Donors receive a certificate with the geographic coordinates and an aerial photo of the protected forest area for maximum transparency.

About Wilderness International

The foundation, which is based in Peru, Canada and Germany, purchases legally secure wilderness areas and protects them for the future. The purchases are refinanced through donations, which ensure the long-term protection of the areas, supports environmental education projects, and research into CO2 storage and biodiversity.
