Protect old-growth forest with the Audi Environmental Foundation

For the preservation of biodiversity & wilderness
The Audi Environmental Foundation has been supporting Wilderness International in various projects since 2021. It began with a biodiversity monitoring project on 100,000 hectares of tree savannah in the north of the Kalahari, supported by state-of-the-art drone technology. In 2024, the Audi Environmental Foundation is co-financing another globally unique pilot project to use drone technology to extract environmental DNA from hard-to-reach treetops. As part of this project, the Audi Environmental Foundation has also provided financial support for the installation of a solar system at our research and forest guardian station in our Peruvian protected areas.
Join in and protect even more rainforest together with the Audi Environmental Foundation!
Together with the Audi Environmental Foundation, ETH Zurich and supported by DJI, we have launched a pilot project that will revolutionize biodiversity research! In the Robotics Lab at ETH Zurich, robots were built which, in conjunction with DJI drones, are able to take eDNA samples even from hard-to-reach places such as treetops.
