For the preservation of the most species-rich forests
Since 2022, Rhowerk has been working with the Wilderness International Foundation on a mission to protect critically endangered and ecologically valuable wilderness areas in Peru and Canada. The Rhowerk forests now protect valuable tropical and temperate rainforests—and with them, the habitat for a huge variety of species.
How many square meters of forest can we protect together?
As a progressive design agency, Rhowerk creates brand identities such as corporate designs, thereby shaping the future of numerous brands. Rhowerk also takes responsibility for the future of our planet—since 2022 in the form of a partnership with Wilderness International: for every order, Rhowerk donates 2.5% of the order amount to the preservation of rainforests. Customers also sign hosting contracts with Rhowerk. For each of these contracts, an additional €1 goes to the RHOWALD sponsorship program every month. The goal: to protect around 6,500 m² of rainforest per year!
The Rhowerk Forest in Canada
The wilderness areas protected by Rhowerk in the temperate rainforest are located on Porcher Island on the west coast of Canada. They are the most species-rich ecosystem in the northern hemisphere. Their ancient giant trees provide a safe habitat for countless animal and plant species, including coastal wolves, minke whales, bald eagles, white-tailed deer, sandhill cranes, and many more.

One of the rainforest areas protected by Rhowerk is located in the Madre de Dios region of Peru. There are 10 times more reptiles and amphibians there than in Germany, approximately 10% of all bird species in the world can be observed here, and approximately 400 tree species can be found on one hectare of forest, more than in the whole of Europe north of the Alps.
When the sun rises over the rainforest along the Tambopata River, the forest begins to breathe.

Weighing up to 75 kg, capybaras are the largest rodents in the world.

Why old-growth forest protection with WI?
Rhowerk was particularly impressed by Wilderness International's transparent and concrete use of donations: a €1 donation protects 1m² old-growth forest forever. Donors receive a certificate with the geocoordinates and an aerial photo of the protected forest area, as well as a tax-deductible donation receipt.
